Text and numbers

When an arrow is not enough, write the step with text or numbers.

Text

1. Choose the text tool and click where the note should sit.
2. Type the note.
3. Adjust size and color so it stays readable on the background.

Short lines work best, such as “click here” or “the version is at the top right.”

Numbers

Numbers fit a sequence:

1. Choose the number tool.
2. Click the image in the order of the steps.
3. Add a short note beside a number when you need one.

Good for install steps, troubleshooting, and a feature demo.

Layout

• Put text in empty space so it does not cover the thing you are showing.
• Use light text on a dark background, and dark text on a light background.
• If there are more than five steps, split them across several captures.
