Last updated: September 8, 2026

Effective date: September 8, 2026

Version: v1.5

Preamble

Welcome to Qianwei Screenshot & Recording and related services.

Before using Qianwei Screenshot & Recording and related services, please read and fully understand all terms of this Agreement, especially the bolded provisions on rights and obligations, limitations or exclusions of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution. The desktop client will ask you to review this Agreement and the related documents (the Privacy Policy and the Membership Notice) through in-product checkboxes, pop-up notices, or similar means. The website provides these documents through a first-visit notice and footer links, and seeks consent for analytics cookies through the analytics toggle. Please decide carefully whether to agree after you fully understand the terms. Browsing the website itself is not the same as completing the client registration checkbox.

In this Agreement, “Company,” “we,” and “us” mean Chengdu Qianwei Technology Co., Ltd. “Software” and “Service” mean the Qianwei Screenshot & Recording client and related supporting services (including the website qwrj.com and account and membership services). Related documents include the Privacy Policy and the Membership Notice. For product instructions, see the documentation.

1. Confirmation and Acceptance

  1. Qianwei Screenshot & Recording and related services are lawfully operated by Chengdu Qianwei Technology Co., Ltd., including but not limited to desktop clients such as Windows, and services provided through our official website, account system, and download and update channels.

  2. If you click agree or check to confirm in the desktop client (including checking to agree to this Agreement, the Privacy Policy, and the Membership Notice at the same time), or otherwise expressly agree in a manner we provide, or if you start to register, sign in, or use the Software and related services after completing the consent process, you are deemed to have entered into this Agreement (including related documents such as the Privacy Policy and the Membership Notice) with the Company as a party and to be bound by it. The website is governed by the footer legal links and analytics-cookie choices, and those do not constitute a separate registration checkbox.

  3. If you are under 18 years of age, you must read and fully understand this Agreement with your guardian and obtain your guardian’s consent before using the Software. For personal information of children under 14, the special rules in the Privacy Policy also apply.

  4. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about this Agreement, please contact us using the methods in the “Contact Us” section. If you do not agree to this Agreement, please stop downloading, installing, registering for, or using the Software.

2. Account Registration and Management

  1. You may create an account through the sign-in / registration methods provided by the Software or the website. After successful registration, you will receive an identifier used to recognize the account. Accounts registered by different methods are independent by default unless you bind or merge them in a manner we provide.

  2. You acknowledge and confirm that the account is, in principle, for your personal use only.

  3. You are responsible for the truthfulness, lawfulness, and validity of registration information. Account nicknames, avatars, and similar materials must not contain illegal content or content that violates public order and good morals. You must not maliciously register accounts (including but not limited to frequent or bulk registration). The Company may reasonably review registration information.

  4. After registration, you obtain only a right to use the account; account-related benefits are as we publish. Without the Company’s written consent, you may not give, lend, rent, transfer, sell, or otherwise permit others to use the account. If we have reasonable grounds to believe the user is not the original registrant, we may suspend, restrict, or terminate related services within the scope permitted by law and this Agreement, and may disable or cancel the account as appropriate.

  5. You may apply to cancel the account. Account cancellation is usually irreversible, and related data may not be recoverable. You remain responsible for conduct before cancellation. The specific cancellation methods and timelines are as described in the product, customer-service guidance, and the Privacy Policy.

3. User Conduct

  1. You must not use unauthorized plugins, cheats, scripts, automation tools, or other third-party programs to interfere with, disrupt, or modify the normal operation of the Service, or to occupy bandwidth and server resources in a way that affects other users.

  2. You must not use the Software to create, upload, copy, publish, disseminate, or republish any of the following:

(1) content that opposes the basic principles established by the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China;

(2) content that endangers national security, discloses state secrets, subverts state power, or undermines national unity;

(3) content that harms national honor and interests;

(4) content that incites ethnic hatred or discrimination or undermines ethnic unity;

(5) content that undermines national religious policy or promotes cults or feudal superstition;

(6) content that spreads rumors, disturbs social order, or undermines social stability;

(7) content that spreads obscenity, pornography, gambling, violence, murder, or terror, or that incites crime;

(8) content that insults or defames others or infringes others’ lawful rights and interests;

(9) content that infringes the lawful rights and interests of minors or harms minors’ physical or mental health;

(10) illegal advertising, excessive marketing, or spam;

(11) other content prohibited by laws or administrative regulations.

  1. Text, images, audio, and video that you capture, record, annotate, save, or process through the Software must be content for which you lawfully hold the relevant rights or authorization, and must not infringe others’ lawful rights and interests.

  2. You must not use the Software to infringe others’ intellectual property, trade secrets, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other lawful rights and interests.

  3. You must not engage in conduct that endangers cybersecurity, including but not limited to: illegally accessing systems, interfering with network functions, or stealing data; providing tools or assistance for such activities; accessing servers or accounts without permission; spreading malware or viruses; reverse engineering, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to obtain the source code of the closed-source business portions of the Software (except where mandatory law provides otherwise); and other conduct that violates laws, regulations, or this Agreement.

    To fulfill obligations under GNU LGPL and similar open-source licenses, this Agreement does not restrict reverse engineering that is solely for debugging, modifying, and replacing modified versions of LGPL shared libraries bundled with the Software, such as Qt, FFmpeg, and libiconv. This exception applies only to those open-source libraries and the scope permitted by their licenses, and does not extend to the Company’s closed-source business code. Names, versions, full license texts, and source-access methods for third-party components are set out in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt in the installation directory, and in the client under Settings → About → Open-source notices.

  4. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service stable and data secure, but we cannot give an absolute guarantee against data loss, deletion, or storage failure not caused by us. If you stop using the Service or cancel your account, related data may be deleted and may not be recoverable.

4. Protection of Personal Information

  1. We take the protection of personal information seriously. For how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information, please see the Privacy Policy (path: /app/qwscreen/privacy).

  2. We will not share your personal information with third parties in violation of applicable rules before obtaining your consent, unless laws and regulations provide otherwise. If sharing with partners is needed for business purposes, we will fulfill notice, consent, and other obligations required by law, and require partners to take reasonable protective measures.

5. Service Content

  1. You should download, install, and update the Software through official channels (such as qwrj.com or channels we expressly authorize). We cannot guarantee that software obtained from unauthorized channels will work normally, and we are not liable for losses arising therefrom (except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence).

  2. We may provide different features for different systems and versions. Available features are as shown in the version you install and in the product. Some features may be in development, beta, or staged rollout, and we may adjust launch timing and scope.

  3. You may use the free features we provide. Some capabilities may require membership or other paid services, as described in the product and the Membership Notice.

  4. To support ongoing operations and compliance, we may adjust paid items, prices, or billing methods. We will try to notify you of price changes through the website, in-product notices, or similar means. Unless otherwise stated, changes generally apply to renewals or new purchases from the next billing cycle. If you disagree, you may stop renewing or cancel auto-renewal.

  5. If you have enabled auto-renewal, how fee changes take effect and how they are confirmed will follow the notice then given and the rules of the payment channel. If confirmation is not completed as required, the related paid service may downgrade to the free service after the current period and auto-renewal may end.

6. Intellectual Property

  1. Intellectual property in the software, interfaces, documentation, marks, copy, images, audio/video, layout, and similar materials in the Software and related services (other than content in which users lawfully hold rights) belongs to the Company or the respective rights holders.

  2. Without the Company’s written permission, no one may copy, distribute, mirror, rent, or sell the above content or the Software, or reverse-engineer the closed-source business portions of the Software, or otherwise use them (except where mandatory law provides otherwise and except for the open-source shared-library exception in this section).

  3. Without prior written consent, you may not use “Qianwei,” “Qianwei Screenshot & Recording,” “qwrj.com,” or other trademarks, trade names, domain names, or brand identifiers to apply for registration, to imply an authorization relationship, or in a way that may cause confusion. You are responsible for losses caused to us or others by unauthorized use.

  4. The Software dynamically links certain open-source libraries (see THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt). To the extent permitted by LGPL, you may replace the corresponding shared libraries in the installation directory of the official desktop installer with interface-compatible files of the same name (including the ffmpeg/ subdirectory and Qt shared libraries next to the main executable). Microsoft Store and similar app-store channels set the install directory as read-only, so files cannot be replaced there directly; how to obtain the source of the corresponding open-source libraries is still described in the notices above. To exercise replacement rights, please use the desktop installer version provided on the website.

7. Terms for Minors

  1. Minors should read this Agreement under a guardian’s guidance and obtain consent before using the Software. Guardians may apply to handle matters related to a minor’s account in accordance with law.

  2. If a minor uses the Software in violation of laws or regulations, the minor and the guardian bear legal responsibility.

  3. For paid services, please have guardians properly keep payment devices, accounts, and passwords to avoid consumption that does not match the minor’s capacity.

  4. Youth users should follow civilized internet-use norms, not browse harmful information, not insult or defraud others, and not become addicted to virtual environments.

8. Limited Liability and Disclaimers

  1. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the Software will fully meet your particular needs, never be interrupted, or that all defects can be promptly fixed.

  2. We do not warrant that programs or counterfeit software obtained from unauthorized channels will work normally, and we are not liable for losses arising therefrom (except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence).

  3. If the Service is interrupted or defective due to force majeure or causes beyond our control (including but not limited to natural disasters, war, government action, basic telecommunications failures, hacking, large-scale network congestion, or suspension required by regulators), we will use reasonable efforts to handle the situation and will bear or be relieved of liability in accordance with law.

  4. The Software may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites or services. Third-party content and policies are not under our control. You assume the risk of accessing or using third-party services and should separately read their terms and privacy policies.

  5. If the product later provides AI or automated processing, results may not fully match expectations; under normal circumstances without human intervention, that alone does not constitute a breach. If such capabilities are not currently provided, this clause does not apply.

  6. You may cancel a paid subscription according to the rules. Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, we have made a written commitment, or the failure to provide the agreed service, duplicate charges, or similar issues are caused by us, fees for virtual services, once paid, are generally not refundable for periods already consumed; cancellation generally takes effect after the current billing cycle. See the Membership Notice.

Special notice: No disclaimer or limitation of liability in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that we may not exclude under law, including but not limited to liability for personal injury or property damage caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Breach

  1. If you breach this Agreement or related rules, the Company may, as appropriate and in accordance with law and this Agreement, issue warnings, restrict features, suspend or terminate services, or disable or cancel the account. If criminal activity is suspected, we may retain records and report to competent authorities as required by law.

  2. If your illegal or breaching conduct leads to third-party complaints, claims, or administrative penalties, you must handle them yourself and bear the corresponding liability; if we suffer losses as a result, you must compensate us.

  3. You warrant that content you process with the Software does not infringe others’ lawful rights and interests. After receiving a valid rights notice, we may take necessary measures such as removal or disabling access in accordance with law.

10. Miscellaneous

  1. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

  2. We may amend this Agreement based on laws, regulatory requirements, or business needs, and update the version number and effective date. Updates will be published in a reasonable manner, such as on the website or through in-product notices. For material changes to your rights and interests, we will seek your consent again as required by law or give more prominent notice. If you do not agree to the updated Agreement, you should stop using the Software. Starting with v1.5, this Agreement makes clear that reverse engineering solely to debug modified versions of LGPL shared libraries such as Qt, FFmpeg, and libiconv is not restricted, and describes the difference between the desktop installer and store channels regarding shared-library replacement.

  3. The formation, validity, interpretation, performance, and dispute resolution of this Agreement are governed by the laws of the mainland of the People’s Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules).

  4. Disputes arising from this Agreement should first be resolved through friendly consultation. If consultation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit in a people’s court with jurisdiction at the defendant’s domicile.

  5. Section headings are for convenience only and are not used for interpretation.

  6. Rights not expressly waived in this Agreement are not waived.

  7. If language versions of this Agreement are inconsistent, the Chinese version prevails.
